SEO · GEO · AEO — one search space

Learn where you stand in search.

Then take the right place. Axis agents read your site the way search engines and AI answers do, walk the searches around it toward the people ready to buy, measure the distance, and set out the plan to close it.

The first read of a homepage takes seconds. The full reading follows once Search Console and GA4 are connected.

A real walk: SEO, GEO · Google · United States · 151 queries over three hops. Each ring is a hop; a query grows from the one that found it.

The method

Found, fetched, cited. Three gates, never one score.

An AI product reaches a site in three steps, and each one fails for a different reason. Axis reads every gate from evidence (IP-verified crawler logs, a cookie-free snippet, Search Console and GA4) and weighs it by buyer demand. A page fetched every day but never cited is a different problem from a page never fetched, so the three are never added up.

Discoveredgate 01

An AI crawler fetched a page that serves the need. Read from the live bot log, with each crawler IP-verified.

Retrievedgate 02

An assistant fetched the page live, for someone's conversation. Read from the same log, kept apart from the crawlers that index or train.

Citedgate 03

A person arrived from an AI product, or Copilot cited the site. Read from the snippet, GA4, and Bing's AI performance export.

Ordinary search (SEO), generated answers (GEO) and answer engines (AEO) meet at these gates. How the three differ.

Also in every reading

Three more instruments.

Position is only half the picture. Each reading also says who is buying, who is already there, and which way the ground is moving.

Buy signalsintent

Which searches carry a decision inside them: price, comparison, "near me", "vs", the brand asked by name. Read against the place you hold now, so the plan starts where the money is.

Your wordsdemand · wish · site

What you want to be found for, in your own words, on one axis with what the market searches and what your pages cover. Where the three drift apart, the map names it: an opportunity, or a wish nobody searches for.

Trendsyear on year

Whether a query is rising or fading, on Google's own monthly counts over 24 months. A rising question with no page behind it is the first page to write.

What you receive

What a reading looks like.

These panels come from one real walk (the searches around SEO and GEO, on Google, in the United States) and one site's rule ledger. Every reading carries the same instruments, with the method beside each number.

Monthly searches—
Ad value / month—searches × mid bid, a price on attention
Few advertisers—of searches, low competition
Cost per click—weighted by searches

The opportunity space

Where the money sits on the way to buying

Searches per month over the buying path. Bright is what the offer could serve; grey is all of it.

The rules, measured or not

Health counts only what was measured; coverage says how much was. Unmeasured is never a pass.

When it is searched

24 months of Google's monthly counts, each row scaled to its own peak (outlined), with the change year on year.

The paid alternative

That is what being the answer for these searches is worth in bought traffic, every month the site is not. A forecast, not a quote.

Notes

Five notes, each on its own page.

A page of its own can be found, cited, and argued with. These five carry the method, with the papers beside each claim. All five, listed together.

Questions

Before you write.

What is Axis?

Axis agents read a site the way search engines and AI answers do. They find where the site stands in the search space, measure the distance to where the demand is, and prepare an alignment plan to close it.

What do the agents look at?

How the site looks to a visitor and to a model, which AI crawlers fetch it and whether anyone arrives from an AI product, where the demand sits and how close each search is to buying, what you want to be found for, and which of the usual SEO and GEO rules hold, measured or not.

What do I receive?

The three gates for each buyer intent, the SEO and GEO rules measured or marked unmeasured, a demand map in your own words, a walk toward the searches of people ready to buy, and a plan ordered by the distance each item closes. Every version is kept; a final report is never rewritten.

Who is behind Axis?

Axis is built in Leiden by LMXAI, an AI engineering studio. The agents run on the same stack LMXAI ships for its clients.

How long does a reading take?

The first read of a homepage takes seconds. The full reading needs the site's Search Console and GA4, and a crawler log where the hosting allows one; the first full numbers arrive once those are connected.
